Dr Abid Mehmood has broader expertise is in social innovation and sustainable development. He has research experience in climate change, international development, and social cohesion for local and regional policy and practice. He is the head of Cities and sustainable places programme at Sustainable Places Research Institute in Cardiff University. He has published interdisciplinary work on urban transformations, community-led initiatives, sustainable mobility, energy transitions and integrative methods for sustainability research and development.
