BIO
Fabio Companie is a Head: Construction Management for The City of Cape Town. He is an accomplished human settlement practitioner and project management specialist, and enjoy using his skills to contribute to the human settlement environment, which is the essence of our everyday urban environment. Holds practical experience in public and private sector working on various infrastructure projects. He graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2020 with a Master’s Degree in Project management and currently busy pursuing his PhD. He is professionally registered as a Construction Project Manager (with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Profession), Chartered Project Management Surveyor with Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors), Building Officer (with the South African Council for Architect Profession) and a member of Project Management South Africa. He further holds a National Diploma in Building, a B-Tech degree in Quantity Surveying and a B-Tech degree in Project Management obtained from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. He has over 10 year’s practical experience in the built environment and has a simple but practical approach to his work, grounded by basic industry principles and personal ethics.
He further enjoy mentoring and coaching with technical and knowledgeable conversation including committed to continues learning, other than that enjoy spending time with family and friends.
